The First Haircut

Daxon has his father's hairline. Poor little boy. Oh well - even with a funny hairline he is still the cutest kid ever!! Well, his hair has been out of control for a few months now, I have just been dreading getting it cut. Chase finally talked me into it. Ever since his little fo-hawk started curling over because it was too long even {BigSexy} hairspray couldn't hold that thing in place, I caved and decided a haircut was a must! So off we went to cut off his baby hair. I have to admit, I did cry a little and of course I saved his little hairs in a baggy to put in his baby book. Here are the before and after shots of the whole thing. He did awesome and he had an awesome girl {Cheyenne Brower} cut his hair. I think it looks much better and it is much more manageable! Not sure how, but he got even cuter with his new hair-do!

{He thought he was pretty cool sitting in that big chair all by himself}

{Then, mom joined the party}

{These two are twinners, can you say "MINI-ME"}

{Doesn't get any cuter than that!}

New changes coming soon....

Well......... We got the news we were hoping for. Chase has been offered a job with Edward Jones. He will be starting in February!! Yahoo - no more working all hours of the day and night for him. We will actually get to sit down and have a family dinner during the week and we will get to do things as a family on Saturdays.

Chase is going to be working as a Financial Adviser for Edward Jones. He has the opportunity to go to Tempe, Arizona and do a 6 month training course. {this is like a once in a lifetime opportunity} We have talked about all of us picking up and moving down there for 6 months, but we have decided that Dax and I will stay here in Pocatello and keep up the house and I will be able to keep my job. We are planning to fly down once or twice a month to see Chase in Arizona.

I don't really want to just send my husband off for 6 months to a different state 13 hours away, but in the end our sacrifices will be rewarded. We barely bought our house and we are just getting it how we want it {paint, decor etc..}. That being said, I don't trust anyone to live in my house and take care of it! Also, I have the BEST job ever! I work with awesome people and I am able to be home for half the days 3 days of the week... You can't beat that! Luckily, we have Skype and Facetime and all of those things to keep in touch and be able to "see" our loved ones when they are far away. I am thankful for Chase and for his willingness to sacrifice for our family. He is the greatest person I know, he is always thinking about others and especially about Daxon and I. It's not going to be easy, but we will get through it. I am thankful for our family and friends and all of their support for us during this time. We are counting this as one of our many blessings and a great way to bring in 2014!!

See ya later 2013

This post is a week late... But, better late than never.
This year has been by far the BEST year of my life!!

1. We welcomed our sweet little Daxon into the world
2. We bought our very first home together in Pocatello.
3. We celebrated our 2 year anniversary.

I have to start off by saying that I am EXTREMELY thankful for all of my blessings. I am very very blessed, and so grateful for everything I have.

I have the best husband out there {sorry ladies, its true} He works endless hours at 2 jobs to support us and supply our family with insurance. He never complains and even takes his turn getting up with Daxon. I don't know how he does it, but I am beyond thankful for him. He is my alarm clock, my kick in the butt, my biggest fan and most of all, my best friend. Chase is the best dad to Daxon - He is the first thing he directs his attention to once he gets home. He is Dax's best buddy. I have loved watching the two of them grow together and bond. Daxon is Chase's mini me! He looks just like him! :) We are looking forward to some new things in 2014 which will hopefully allow Chase to not have to work as much and be able to spend more time at home with us! We cannot wait!

{Check out these 2 twinners!!}

Daxon has been the biggest blessing in our lives! We are so thankful for his sweet little spirit and his fun personality! He is his dad's sidekick... but lately he has been quite the momma's boy! I am taking that to my advantage! He is all over the place getting into everything from the dog's food to mom's crafts. We know all too well when its quiet that he must be up to something. He is also a HUGE flirt. He is cute and he knows it. He uses those big blue eyes to reel ya in! :) We are completely smitten and in love. I am so excited to watch him learn and grow, he is already so smart! Some of his favorite things are: sweet potatoes, bananas, cereal puffs, rice, and eating anything and everything mom and dad will give him from their plates! He is getting bigger and smarter by the day!

We are excited for everything that 2014 has to offer and for all of the memories we will make as a family!
