June 29th...

June 29, 2007. The most horrible day ever for my family. My grandpa and uncle were killed in a raging forest fire. My uncle, who could have easily ran to escape it, stayed behind and tried to cover my grandpa with his body. They passed on together. Father and son. Husband and son. Father and Brother. Grandpa and Dad. They were all of those things to my family. Their passing left a big hole in our family, but we weren't about to ever give up or fall apart. Infact, we all grew closer.
This day each year is stil so hard for each of us. Today marks the 5th year. A new fire started burning in the same exact place this week... It is seriously so heart breaking.
I am so thankful for the great family I have been blessed with... Also, for the many people who have supported my family.
With all of the fires burning in this country, I can't help but be so thankful for all of the many things I do have while so many people have lost everything.
I hope we can all take a moment pray for all those who have lost, who don't know, who need blessings. I hope we can all be selfless and do service for others.
I always tell Chase how much i wish he could have known them... they were so loving and cared so much about everyone around them. They were the most selfless men I know. I am so grateful to call them my family.

These are my heros. I love and miss them each and every day.

The start to a summer full of car shows...

Chase is probably the most dedicated, hardworking man I know. I am so proud to be his wife and of all of his accomplishments. One of his favorite (probably his most favorite) hobby's is his 1970 Mustang. It is "Calypso Coral" and his baby. At least it is a car instead of a girlfriend. :) HAHA.
Unfortunately, he wrecked the orange beauty last fall on his way to pick me up after work one night (when I told him i could just meet him at his house). Chase has a terrible record of eating while driving and this story proves my point. He spilt some dots (candy) on the passenger side floor. As he was leaning over, he started to swerve and side swiped a truck. This all happened about 100 yards from my house. Poor guy, he wsa almost in tears as he came to the door. :( This winter the stang sat for quite some time and Chase got sadder and sadder. Once it warmed up, he finally decided to get it out and fix her up!
Once it was completely restored back to perfect shape, Chase was soooooo happy! :) Which made me happy! He's just so great!
This last weekend, he had his very first show of the season and... he WON FIRST PLACE!! :) yaho! That was his very first 1st place title... Once again.. HE makes me so proud!

I am looking forward to a fun filled summer and all of the car shows I will get to go to with Chase for the rest of forever.

By the way, he did buy me a mustang that he is going to restore and paint pink! Gosh i am a lucky lady!

Life in the Peterson Household

This is a little late (7 months late) since I told Chase I was starting a blog once we got married. That was on November 11, 2011. We were sealed for time and all ETERNITY in the Logan, Utah temple. THE HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE!
So here we are... June 18, 2012 and happy as can be! :) We have a little Shorkie puppy named Paxx (Who is a holy terror, but we love him). We are both working full time and running around like crazy! Chase is a service technician for Moxie Pest Controland I am working at Gate City Real Estate and Peterson Law Office. I plan to attend ISU in the fall, enrolled in the Dental Assisting Program.
Chase and I are living in Blackfoot, Idaho in a super cute little house. We painted it exactly how we wanted it and have made everything perfect. We couldn't be happier.
We are so thankful for all of our blessings and look forward to a happy future together making more memories.
